4 Ways to Collaborate and Promote Your Beauty and PMU Business
It takes a village to build a business. Collaborating with others can enable you to engage with new audiences, build brand awareness, and promote your beauty and PMU business. Going from being an independent entrepreneur to collaborating with others isn’t easy and can take some trial and error.
Stepping outside your comfort zone and working with others can unlock your company’s potential. It takes your business outside of its usual audience and puts your services in front of fresh eyes.
We’re sharing 4 ways you can collaborate with other entrepreneurs and influencers to promote your business and get more PMU clients.
1. Social Media Partnerships
Social media is one of the most powerful collaborative tools in the world. Whether you’re working with influencers or collaborating with other businesses, social media partnerships should be top of your list.
It’s an easy way to bring new eyes to your content and build your personal and business contacts. A social media partnership can be as small as recording a video with another industry professional or as large as a full-scale influencer campaign.
Promoting your business isn’t something you can do solo. Working with others and collaborating with industry professionals will promote your business and help you curate your brand identity. Don’t underestimate the power of collaborating. Give your business the village it needs to thrive.
One of my first collaborations was with Vee's Flowers, where I created a “share, like, and comment” contest. The winner won a free service from me and flowers with the thought of utilizing the contest winner as additional content for my page. It was a win-win for the contestant, who received a free service and flowers, and for Vee's Flowers and me, who received “Free” promotional exposure.

2. Start a Podcast
This concept will take planning and strategy, but it can help you collaborate with hundreds of people within your industry. Podcasts are booming right now and are set to become a $4 billion industry by 2024. You don’t need a recording studio or a producer to get started.
It’s a low-cost investment to get started with most podcast microphones costing less than $100. You can edit the audio on your iPhone or laptop and use a podcast hosting site to upload your episodes onto all the major platforms.
Keep your podcast related to your services or industry. Your goal should be to interview guests who can entertain and educate your audience.
Not ready to start your own podcast? Research podcasts within your niche and reach out to the host about coming on as a guest. It’s an easy way to get experience doing media before launching your own podcast.
3. Attend Networking Events
Networking events are the original way of collaborating with industry colleagues. Conferences, social events, and seminars are a way for you to build your profile and promote your business. You can attend an event as a guest speaker or even offer for your business to be a sponsor.
These events are also an easy way to make connections with other people in your industry. If you’re lacking confidence, networking events will help you find your feet. Bring along some marketing material and keep your business cards on hand.
You can find people to collaborate with and build industry relationships that will enable you to promote your business in the future.
4. Partner with Local Businesses
Start by staying local. While product-based companies can set their sights on building a community internationally, you want to start small. Collaborating with local businesses can help you promote your business within your community and find a base of recurring customers.
You can offer workshops together, create social media content, or offer your services at events hosted by local businesses.
Think outside the box, don’t be afraid to repackage old ideas and present them again. Content, content, content, get out there and build your brand!
